Updates

2) April 2018 UPDATE:

In a year and a half straight, I have only enriched the overall number by 13, which seems poor, poor indeed..! During a year working on a ship I was more enwrapped in TV series, I guess mainly cos I needed amusement in a shorter format. I have gone up by 1%, next 1% I will reach in three times less the time, at least that is the aim. All the movies seen since first publishing the list on this blog, will be marked red. The movie titles that are followed by a sign have been removed from more recent editions. Oh and, I haven't seen any of the new dozen...shows just how 'updated' I am.

1) The list is so long, I thought I'd keep the updates in a separate post, as to avoid scrolling all the way down the list. So what do the numbers say?

First of all I'd like to say that I have been considering this list for quite a few years now. But there have also been some wonderful surprises, when I'd run into a ( usually great ) movie on TV and later realise it is on this list. Doing the first stats just now I was surprised with two things: that the decade with most listed movies are the 80's, and that my highest percentage of seen movies per decade belongs to the 00's (rather than the 90's, the period of idle youth when at times I rented three videos per day. Well as they say, quantity don't mean quality..!).

Stats are as follows:

00's-10's: 2/5 (40%)

20's: 11/45 (24%)

30's: 31/90 (34%)

40's: 38/94 (40%)

50's: 46/133 (35%)

60's: 50/156 (32%)

70's: 56/160 (35%)

80's: 68/162 (42%)

90's: 83/157 (53%)

00's: 69/121 (57%)

10's: 25/54 (46%)
